West Cay Suite, Gingerbread Suite and Sea Breeze Suite are located on the first floor. Island Suite, Admiralty Suite and Blue Edge Suite are located on the garden level. All of our suites are fully air-conditioned.
The generously proportioned suites are self-contained with a King-size bed, well appointed kitchen, wi-fi access and a private veranda with a spectacular view of Admiralty Bay. Some suites have an additional twin bed.
The suites are located directly on the waterfront and look out to Admiralty Bay on the Caribbean side of the island. The Belmont Walkway is located directly in front of property for walking access to the beaches, restaurants and the Harbour. A driveway entrance with parking is easily accessible from the main road.
Our tropical garden is constantly filled with birdsong and gentle breeze. Enjoy your morning coffee or sunset drink on the traditional wooden Muskoka styled chairs handcrafted in Bequia (reproduced from design brought to Bequia by the owner's Canadian grandfather in the 1970's).
The Gingerbread Suites graces the waterfront of Admiralty Bay with its historic Caribbean style architecture. The building features intricate wooden gingerbread fretwork, meticulously hand-carved by local craftsmen. High ceilings and sustainably sourced tropical hardwood louvered windows and doors allow the natural light to filter inside creating a serene tropical atmosphere.
The building was originally designed in the early nineties by locally based Italian architect Mario Spinella under the guidance of founders, entrepreneur Pat Mitchell and Sir James "Son" Mitchell, former Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Gingerbread Suites is now owned and operated by the daughter of the Mitchells and her husband, both architect and designer at Green Blue Building Design (gbbd studio). They continue to embrace the traditional Caribbean architecture, ensuring that the building retains its authenticity, while adding contemporary artistic touches.
The Suites include an occupancy rate for up to 2 persons. An additional single (twin) bed for an extra guest is available for an additional fee. Children are welcome. Children under 5 years old stay free of charge. Children 6-12 are an additional 25 USD. Youth age 13+ and adults are an extra 50 USD per night.
Rates are inclusive of Government Taxes and Service Charge. Booking and Cancellation Policy - A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking and will be charged at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due upon check-in. To cover incidentals, we will hold a $250 USD on your card. The following cancellation charges will apply: Bookings 1 to 18 nights - Cancellation within 60 to 3 days of arrival, 50% of the total accommodation charge. Cancellation or changes within 48 hours of arrival, 100% of the total accommodation charge. No shows and early check-outs, 100 % of the total accommodation charge. Note, all deposit refunds will be net a 10% non-refundable administrative charge (card bookings fees and booking charge) and refunded within 6 weeks of cancellation.
